| | Neil- Comes a Time | ] | Going tipsy to the Airport rules, My cab driver was awesome jazz singer from the forties we sat and talked about Miles Davis while he sat and cursed at the idiots who had fucked up our path.
Once getting to the airport my tipsy-ness had yet to wear off were i proceeded to internally notice that I asked all sorts of paranoid questions that i would not ask otherwise:
Are you sure, you are not going to fuck up my bag?
Is this the right number for my bag?
and said things like:
here let me show you all the secret pockets in my bag.
The sun is starting to rise as the sky lightens up, the greyness of the interior and the greyness of dawn blends together, whilst i sit here listening to yet another band Ren told me about. god damn you, Ren.
It is 7:02 i still have yet to sleep today, i'm starting to get a headache, Let me just get home, let me just get to were i need to be.
Most importantly today is the last day of my First Semester of College and i think i made it thorugh mostly unscathed. Tattered and frayed from all the rocks thrown from the exterior world.
Let this new year begin already. |

| | Dylan-When The Ship Comes In | ] | It's funny how the grafitti in the men’s bathroom within the library fits a Sarah Lawrence stereotype.
i think Bob Dylan keeps me sane, in this state I found myself in. It is something that listening to Bob Dylan makes writing on Nigerian and Somali religious structure a lot easier, maybe because he is from Minnesota, the furthest thing from Nigeria and Somalia. |

| | Godspeed You Black Emperor! | ] | Oh Mother Mary!
I need to mention that right now my average page writing ability is that of a three toed sloth attempting to cross a New York City intersection.
I’m currently averaging a paragraph every 10 to 12 hours. Right fucking on Z!
In other news I exchanged music, and realized the importance of using this journal as a space for my Non sequitur of my encounters with this world.
Oh world I wish I could experience you, yet I have conference papers due. In 5 days.
Yet after those five days, all hell breaks loose.
Sort of like that rolling stones song on Exile, Let it Loose except not such a downer this let it loose will be much more of an upper. |

| | In a Silent Way- MIles Davis | ] | New Years is the Best Holiday. I'm Really Excited for it to start, it seems like the fat has been trimmed from my life, and this year i will become one lean, mean, leaving machine. The Ball has begun to roll, and i hope it wont stop.
So much is on the verge of happening, and it is just about lift off. it all will this year.
and the truth has come and will stay and those who matter mean the most.
and thanks to Maren, i have the Miles Davis complete silent way sessions to keep me warm.
Happy New Year
as a special live journal addition i want to point out how much in a silent way means to me. it incompensies all that has meaning in my life. yeah i'm fucking serious. |
